Awning arms do the structural work. They carry the roller, hold pitch, and absorb every wind load the canopy catches. A single monsoon gust can fold an arm, tweak the lower mounting bracket, or crack a cast elbow — and once the geometry is off, the awning binds, wears fabric on one edge, and never rolls up tight again.
We replace upper and lower arm assemblies, slider channels, elbows and the mounting brackets they bolt to. Because a bent arm almost always means the wall bracket took a load too, we inspect the mount, re-seal the penetrations, and confirm both arms are plumb and matched before we call the job done.

RV Awning Arm Replacement FAQs
Can a bent arm be straightened instead of replaced?
We do not recommend it. Aluminum that has been bent once is work-hardened and will fail again at the same point, usually with the awning out and the wind up. Replacement is the safe call.
Do I need to replace both arms?
Not necessarily. If only one took the hit and the other is straight and moving freely, a single arm is fine. We check both before quoting.
Will you re-seal the sidewall where the bracket mounts?
Always. Any bracket we remove or replace gets fresh sealant on the penetrations — an unsealed awning mount is a slow leak into your wall.
